Impark was a founding member of the Green Parking Council, which has since evolved into the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), a non-profit group that provides leadership and oversight in the area of green building and parking practices. USGBC encourages the conversion of buildings and parking facilities into sustainable, environmentally responsible assets.

USGBC members are dedicated to expanding green parking practices through the application of Parksmart, the world’s only sustainable mobility certification and credentialing program that recognizes sustainability in parking.

Impark has supported the development of Parksmart from its inception under the Green Parking Council, to its acquisition by the U.S. Green Building Council in 2016 and its current growth into a global program with projects in the U.S., Canada, Serbia, Greece, the UAE, and China.

Currently, Impark has the largest number of Parksmart projects of any parking operator worldwide.
