Corporate Press Release 20/05/2009

Impark, one of North America’s largest parking operators, announced today it has been selected to operate the parking facilities serving Citi Field, the new home to the New York Mets.

The parking facilities total over 12,000 parking spaces, 8,500 in lots adjacent to the stadium, 3,680 in remote lots in surrounding areas, and will include a footprint that was the former Shea Stadium, currently under demolition. In addition to Citi Field, the facilities will serve nearby Flushing Meadows – Corona Park, home of the U.S. Open Tennis Championships.

Speaking of the award, Rob Kasdon, V.P. Security with the New York Mets commented “While it was a lengthy and in-depth process for us to select the most suitable parking operator to serve Citi Field, the Impark team was focused and professional through the entire selection period. They were able to clearly evidence their expertise in large scale event parking operations, and were highly recommended by their existing MLB clients”. He added ”We are pleased to have selected Impark as our parking operations partner, as our team is now prepared to ensure the Mets fans receive fantastic service from the moment they pull into Citi Field.”

The Mets’ home opener at Citi Field occurs on Monday, April 13, 2009, with a game against the San Diego Padres.

Chris Johnson, Impark’s Senior Vice President, Eastern U.S. commented,
“Having such a high quality organization entrust Impark with providing New York Mets fans their first and last impression, when entering and departing from this spectacular facility, is truly an honor. Impark’s stadium and event parking management model aligns perfectly with the Mets expectations for outstanding service at Citi Field. We look forward to implementing our innovative and effective approach to service, bringing a focus that will provide the best possible fan experience to Citi Field”.

According to Herb Anderson, Impark’s President & CEO, “This is a key contract award for Impark. It provides the organization with another very significant project in the New York area, and the opportunity to demonstrate our highly successful approach to stadium parking at this world-class venue.”
