Impark has established an interim privacy program under the direction of Milan Zivkovic, Impark's Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Impark is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia and as such, has aligned its privacy objectives / mandate with the 10 points as referred to in the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). These key components include:
1) Accountability
2) Purpose
3) Consent
4) Collection
5) Use
6) Accuracy
7) Safeguards
8) Openness
9) Access
10) Recourse
Fundamental to these principles, Impark does not collect and retain personal information without unnecessary reason (billing, etc) and any of the information retained is subject to the strictest security typically internally classified as similar to Payment Card Data. As Impark is a Payment Card Industry (PCI) level 1 merchant, we are subject to the strictest scrutiny with respect to protecting this data.
Any of the retained data is used specifically for the sole purpose under which it was obtained and is not shared or disseminated with any parties not necessary to the process (payment card information is transferred to acquiring banks and ultimately payment brands).
Impark takes its privacy objectives seriously and by appointing the CIO as Impark’s Privacy Officer, Impark has dedicated the necessary resources to ensure a successful and compliant privacy program.
